Night tourism, as one of the emerging forms of tourism, particularly in historical sites, has garnered significant attention from researchers and tourism planners. Night tourism focuses on utilizing tourist attractions and facilities during nighttime hours, aiming to enhance productivity and attract tourists during periods when tourism activities typically decline. This study examines the importance and performance of night tourism in historical sites, with a specific focus on Persepolis, one of Iran's most significant historical landmarks. The statistical population included professionals active in the tourism industry and cultural heritage, particularly those involved in the historical site of Persepolis, academic experts, and specialized tourism guides. The sample size consisted of 145 individuals, and data collection was conducted using questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) technique. This analytical method evaluates the performance of a system based on its importance from the perspective of stakeholders, helping to identify strengths and weaknesses. Statistical software, including SPSS for advanced statistical analysis and Excel for basic calculations and analysis, was utilized. The results indicate that among the criteria for night tourism at Persepolis, the dimensions of design and services had the highest performance satisfaction, while security and event indicators ranked lower. In terms of importance, the variables of investment, marketing, and security dimensions received the highest levels of satisfaction. Therefore, security and event indicators play a crucial role in attracting tourists to night tourism.
