Medical tourism is a relatively new topic.Despite the existence of many studies in the field of health in Iran, not much study has been done in the field of medical tourism market.The purpose of this study is to investigate the antecedents of attracting medical tourists in Isfahan health towns.The research method is applied and mixed qualitatively and quantitatively.In qualitative research, by performing the coding method using the theme method, the theoretical model is reached and then through Demetel method and fuzzy network analysis, effective and efficient variables are calculated. The results showed that the highest weight is related to the "travel expenses" dimension with a weight of 0.193. Among the criteria is "surgery cost", which placed at the first rank. Among 36 criteria, "distance from the origin" was in the second priority, "complete tourist and medical packages" in the third priority, "transportation costs" the fourth priority, "coordination between medical staff" the fifth priority, and "drug cost" in the sixth priority, all of which possessed approximately 21% of the total weight of the criteria, showing the great importance of these criteria. The effective variables include technology and treatment equipment, quality of services and tourist attractions, as well as cultural conditions. On the other hand, the affected variables include travel costs, staff and treatment process, advertising and marketing. The most effective variables are technology and treatment equipment variables and the most affected is the travel costs variables. The research innovation was in the method of using Demetel method and fuzzy network analysis.
