Today, the preservation and strengthening of national identity is of great importance and is considered vital for the progress of society and the survival of a nation. Cultural heritage tourism can be regarded as a tool for constructing and reconstructing national identity. The heritage village is considered one of the most attractive approaches for developing this type of tourism. The present study aims to assess the potential for establishing a heritage village in the Konar Sandal archaeological site in Jiroft County. The research methodology is grounded theory, and the required data were collected through in-depth interviews. The statistical population includes tourism experts (university professors, cultural heritage tourism practitioners. (The sampling method was snowball sampling, and the identification of effective components in the model reached theoretical saturation through the insights of 20 experts. The findings from the interviews, coded using open, axial, and selective coding and analyzed using tree modeling in MAXQDA 18 software, identified the key themes of "local-traditional design" and "tourist attraction capacity." The results indicate that the necessary capacities for establishing a heritage village encompass two main indicators: the capacity to attract tourists and the local-traditional design of the region. Among these, the tourist attraction capacity plays a more significant role as the primary heritage-related factor. Moreover, the existence of this capacity highlights the profound impact of attractions and folklore in supporting the development of local-traditional design. Accordingly, the enhancement of both indicators-tourist attraction capacity and local-traditional design-makes it feasible to establish a heritage village in Jiroft County.
