اثر انتشار کربن (CO2) بر صنعت گردشگری در کشورهای منتخب

چکیده
امروزه، افزایش انتشار CO2 (کربن‌ دی‌اکسید) و تأثیرات نامطلوب آن در ‌محیط زیست بیش از هر زمان دیگری مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. بر این اساس، هدف اصلی پژوهش حاضر بررسی اثر انتشار CO2 بر درآمد گردشگری کشورهای منتخب عضو سازمان همکاری و توسعهٔ اقتصادی (OECD) در طی بازهٔ زمانی سال 2008 تا 2019 با استفاده از مدل رگرسیون پانل کوانتایل (Quantile Regression) است. نتایج حاصل از برآورد رگرسیون پانل کوانتایل نشان می‌‌دهد که انتشار کربن[1] (LCO2) در همهٔ دهک‌ها اثری منفی بر درآمدهای گردشگری دارد و، به‌جز دهک‌های اول، دوم، چهارم و پنجم، بقیهٔ دهک‌ها دارای معناداری آماری هستند. تولید ناخالص داخلی (GDP) در همهٔ دهک‌ها دارای اثری مثبت و معنا‌دار است. باز بودن تجاری[2] (LTRADE) در همهٔ دهک‌ها دارای اثری مثبت بر درآمدهای گردشگری است و، به‌جز دهک‌های پنجم، ششم و هفتم، بقیهٔ دهک‌ها دارای معناداری آماری هستند. تعداد گردشگر ورودی[3] (LTN) تا دهک ششم دارای اثری مثبت بر درآمدهای گردشگری است و دهک‌های هفتم و هشتم معناداری آماری ندارند. شاخص حکمرانی خوب[4] (GOV)، به‌جز دهک‌های دوم، سوم و چهارم که دارای اثری منفی است، در بقیهٔ دهک‌ها اثری مثبت بر درآمد گردشگری دارد و دهک‌های ششم، هشتم و نهم دارای معناداری آماری هستند. نرخ ارز[5] (LEX) در همهٔ دهک‌ها دارای اثری منفی بر درآمدهای گردشگری است و، به‌جز دهک اول، بقیهٔ دهک‌ها دارای معناداری آماری هستند.

Today, the increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and its adverse environmental effects have been noticed more than ever. In this regard, The main goal of this research is to investigate the impact of CO2 emissions on the tourism income of selected countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) during the annual period of 2008 to 2019 using the panel quantile regression model. The quantile panel regression estimation results show that carbon emission (LCO2) hurts tourism income in all deciles except for the first, second, fourth, and fifth deciles. The rest of the deciles have statistical significance. Gross domestic product (LGDP) positively and significantly affects all deciles. Trade openness (LTRADE) positively affects tourism income in all deciles except for the fifth, sixth, and seventh deciles. The rest of the deciles have statistical significance. The number of incoming tourists (LTN) up to the sixth decile positively affects tourism income, and the seventh and eighth deciles have no statistical significance. The governance index (GOV), except for the second, third, and fourth deciles, has a negative effect. However, in the rest of the deciles, it positively affects tourism income, and the sixth, eighth, and ninth deciles have statistical significance. The exchange rate (LEX) negatively affects tourism income in all deciles, and except for the first decile, the rest have statistical significance.
