The places visited by tourists can gradually turn into dangerous places due to the large volume of tourists and high financial turnover. The use of environmental design is one of the most appropriate measures to prevent crime and increase the sustainability of the environment in these destinations. Considering the importance of the subject and the lack of attention to the principles of environmental design in tourism sites, this article was written in order to evaluate the importance and performance of the effective components in crime prevention in the tourism axis of Imam Ali Square(AS) and NaqshJahan Square Isfahan. The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The method of data collection was library and field. By reviewing the literature, 35 effective components in crime prevention were identified and distributed to experts in the form of a questionnaire. Finally data analysis was done with the help of performance importance analysis. According to the results of the components of "the number of administrative and part-time commercial uses in the body of external and internal passages", "holding ritual ceremonies", "the level of cleaning and cleanliness" and "the amount of establishment of crowd-attracting uses" respectively, the highest average performance and components of " Permeability", "creating a positive image in the minds of tourists", "existence of security and inducing a sense of it to tourists", "reduction of abandoned and dilapidated spaces", "elimination of hidden corners" and "control of uses with social norms" have the highest average importance, respectively.
