Abstract

As one of the most important economic sectors, the tourism industry is a key factor in the sustainable development of local communities. In this regard, new technologies are considered effective tools for improving the tourism experience and managing the sustainability of tourism destinations. Fars province's diverse historical, cultural, and natural attractions provide a suitable opportunity to examine the effects of using these technologies on tourism sustainability. This research identifies and evaluates key criteria for new technologies to promote the sustainability of tourism destinations in Fars province and analyzes their effects on improving tourists' experiences and protecting the environment. By this approach, an attempt is made to provide practical and implementable solutions to promote a sustainable tourism industry in this province. Therefore, the present research aims to identify and evaluate the criteria of new technologies in the sustainability of tourism destinations (Case Study: Fars province). This research is descriptive regarding its applied purpose and data collection. The statistical population of the research included 85 tourism experts in Fars Province who were selected to participate in designing the model. For this purpose, the conceptual framework of the model was specified, and the data were analyzed using fuzzy cognitive mapping tools and techniques and social network analysis. In this regard, several factors are involved, among which electronic payment systems, mobile applications and digital insurance are the most important.
