Abstract
Human life in the present age is witnessing pervasive phenomena that have changed and transformed human life. One of these phenomena is travel and tourism. Along with the physical movement of spirituality in tourism, it means reaching physical excellence, achieving meaning, education, reasoning and exploration and reaching supernatural, natural, social and interpersonal mutual understanding. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to investigate the effects and consequences of travel and tourism on the mental health of tourists with an emphasis on the spiritual approach (case study: Tehran). The current research method is descriptive and analytical. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale was used. The statistical population includes tourists entering Tehran in the period from January 1402 to May 1403, and 284 samples were used by available sampling method. In order to analyze the data and examine the relationship between the effects and consequences of travel and tourism on the mental health of tourists in Tehran, structural equation modeling was used with emphasis on the spiritual approach. SPSS22 and AMOS22 software were used for data analysis. In order to measure the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha calculation method was used, and in order to measure the validity of the questionnaire, the content validity method was used. The results of the research indicate the confirmation of the research hypothesis that there is a direct and meaningful positive relationship between the effects and consequences of travel and tourism on the mental health of tourists, emphasizing the spiritual approach of the city of Tehran
