Designing a model of effective factors on the development of urban tourism management with an emphasis on metropolises (case study: Tehran metropolis)

Abstract
The tourism industry, including urban tourism, is highly competitive in today's world. The success rate of a tourist destination in the competitive environment depends above all on the performance of its tourism management. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the role of factors affecting the development of urban tourism management with an emphasis on metropolises (case study: Tehran metropolis). The present research was conducted as a descriptive-survey study. This research was designed using the "mixed research" method, which was used in the first stage to extract factors from the opinions of 7 experts and professors of the tourism industry in Tehran province who have relevant work experience in the field of urban tourism and urban planning. 17 factors were selected and confirmed. Then, a matrix questionnaire was prepared and given to the second group of the research statistical community, which included 70 experts and professors of the tourism industry in Tehran province, who were selected non-randomly. Data and scenarios were analyzed using fuzzy cognitive mapping technique and the research model was designed using social network analysis. In this regard, among the 17 selected factors, three factors of support from the authorities, provision of urban services and urban infrastructure were the most important respectively; Because they were more central, based on which scenarios were written. Finally, based on the obtained results, suggestions were made regarding the development of urban tourism management with an emphasis on metropolises (case study: Tehran metropolis).
