Identifying the Key Factors in the Development of Medical Tourism in Ardabil

Abstract
Medical tourism as a branch of health tourism has grown rapidly compared to other branches and many societies have written plans for its development and utilization. Ardabil city is also prone to progress in this field due to its potential. At the same time, the aim is to identify and introduce the factors affecting the development of its medical tourism. In this regard, the current research method is exploratory in nature and practical in terms of purpose, which is used to analyze the data of the mutual effects questionnaire, from expert opinions that were selected by snowball method (10 experts) and method Structural-interpretive modeling has been used. In this regard, the results showed that among the 35 initially identified factors, 18 factors are considered as the final factors for the development of medical tourism in Ardabil city. Among the final factors, the most influencing power is related to the responsible institutions and the least is related to the number of medical centers and that the factors to remove international restrictions; specialized human power; The authorities' awareness of the benefits of medical tourism and medical needs assessment are the key factors in the development of medical tourism in Ardabil. Factors that should be prioritized in the plans for a fundamental change and transformation in the development of medical tourism in Ardabil city.
